New Schedule for CageworX Youth Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Classes
We are excited to see how much our Youth Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes has grown since the move to 8th Street. The mats have been full of kids enjoying the classes and it is now time for us to ensure all of them get the best and safest possible training. With that goal in mind, as of Monday August 31st, we will be separating the youth BJJ classes into two groups:
1) 3:15 pm to 4 pm for children ages 5-8
2) 4pm to 5 pm for children ages 9-14
This change only affects the Youth Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes. The Youth Muay Thai classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays will remain the same, with one class at 4pm.
Yoga is returning to the gym’s class schedule! Sara Shearer will be teaching a power yoga class every Sunday, 4 to 5 pm, for CageworX gym members. This class is included with your gym membership fee, so there’s no excuse not to try it out! It’s time to work on developing your flexibility and strengthening some neglected but important muscle groups that are critical for good balance and joint health. Yoga also sharpens mental focus while decreasing stress. There’s a good reason why top competitors such as Rickson Gracie, Nicolas Gregoriades and Diego Sanchez practice yoga. Check it out!
Ladies, Give Us Your Feedback About a Women-Only Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Class!
We are thinking of offering a women-only Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class during weekdays, possibly over the lunch hour. The techniques would cover both sport and self-defense applications of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. This would be an ongoing class that covers most of the material in our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for Women’s Self Defense Workshop. Ladies, please email us and let us know what days of the week and times would work best for you.
